Murdoch Media Meltdown, Murder & the 4 P's

Okay, so I was right about the involvement of 'The Sun' in the phone hacking scandal and that flame haired Rebekah wouldn't keep her job past the Full Moon and certainly the implosion if not the collapse of the Murdoch Empire seems to be well underway just over a week on from my last post, but what else do the planetary cycles show? Where will all this end? As I said before, the first weeks of August look dire for 'Rupe' and his hegemony.  There's still more to come to light. However it is the very sinister turn that this epic tale of power, greed, subterfuge and corruption has taken this week which warrants the most attention.

Remember my comment about us reaching a pivotal phase in the Venus/Pluto cycle just as this scandal all came to a head? I mentioned that this particular aspect is strongly associated with 'underworld' type activity. What better way to send a warning shot over the heads of anyone who might possess information which could topple or expose those in positions of power than to bump off the main whistleblower, Sean Hoare? It's a scenario straight out of a Mafia style movie - except this time it's for real.

Mr Hoare we might remind ourselves was a self confessed drug user - according to this article - so was it, perhaps the bigger fear in corridors of power that if he was willing to speak out over the endemic nature of phone hacking that he might also choose to expose the drug habits of others - or nefarious practices (financial, sexual or otherwise)- which might be even more frowned upon than hacking? (It would certainly be in line with the planetary aspects). If so, isn't a logical extrapolation that there would be many people who would prefer he was indeed silenced.

I am not for one minute suggesting the direct involvement of the Murdoch's; NewsCorp or their subsidiaries in the death of Mr Hoare but there are many people around the globe for whom the mere possibility of the demise of the Murdoch Empire or share price collapse would lead  them to wanting Hoare gagged - permanently. Plus, if Sean Hoare had persisted in his claims that Andy Coulson had sanctioned the use of phone hacking whilst Editor at the NoTW prior to his being appointed as Director of Communications for the Tory Party and Prime Minister, and if it was subsequently proved to be true  this could eventually topple David Cameron.

Although Coulson stepped down in January, there would be calls for the PM to step down due to the implicit lack of judgement in his decision to employ Mr Coulson and his closeness to News executives caught up in this scandal. This, too, at a time when the European economies are balancing on a knife edge. Severe political upheaval in the UK at this critical juncture could be the straw that breaks the camels back as it makes the markets so jittery.

The really big fear that has surrounded this case however is none of the above but rather that it might come to light that NewsCorp journalists may have been involved directly or indirectly in the hacking of the phones of 9/11 victims. If just a scintilla of evidence was ever located about hacking on US soil this could result in huge lawsuits against the Murdoch Corporation and bring the whole empire to its knees almost overnight. Without the support of Murdoch printing what Governments want us to hear - God knows we might hear the truth and that could spell political armageddon! So with that in mind is it just a coincidence that Sean Hoare spoke only last week  to the New York Times about how easy it was to hack into phones and then ends up dead??

Of course it could always be that Sean Hoare's death was just a coincidence...! What do you think? Was Mr Hoare 'bumped off' like (as some allege) David Kelly and Christopher Shale, or is the truth likely to be mired in speculation, smears and mistruths for years to come? We have no way of knowing for sure other than the expected coroners report - which will of course say that it was natural causes - but what the planetary cycles tell us is that the days of cover-ups are over and the days of huge revelatory scandals (Neptune in Pisces) are in. As I said last week it may take a while for the whole truth to emerge (as we have planets going retrograde now) but emerge it surely will and we can be sure that the whole face of the 4 P's is about to change - Politics, Press, Police and even Private Investigators!

Birthday of Neptune and the Murdoch Empire Crisis

Across the globe today, 12 July 2011, you will read the headline Happy Birthday Neptune. The story is that Neptune has completed its first 164.79132 year orbital period. This seems straightforward enough, after all NASA says it's correct so it must be. Yes?

Well, not always. Remember that debacle I flagged up in 2010 when NASA spokesman Dr Tony Phillips made a startlingly wrong call about the last time there was the coincidence of a Lunar eclipse on the Solstice? I discovered after a bit of research that he was more than a few hundred years out! I wrote to him, he changed it but every media outlet still ran with the incorrect data. It always pays to double check the 'experts' as no-one is infallible.

Yesterday, my Scorpionic desire to ferret out the truth led to an interesting bit of fact finding regarding this 'birthday' of Neptune. I ended up reading the astronomical computations of a very clever man known only as 'Bob' and it transpires via Bob that Neptune's birthday was yesterday. Okay, so it's only a day out but its orbital period was completed at 21.48.and 26.6 seconds UT on 11th July 2011 which means that all the other sources, some of them very highly regarded, are wrong.

To keen cycle watchers like myself  Bob's blog post was utterly fascinating not least because I learned all about the Solar System barycentre - but also because he unearthed an absolute gem for astrologers. We always try and seek out precise times in order to cast accurate charts and Bob had posted (and I hope he won't mind me reproducing it here) a link to the table for the moment that Neptune was discovered - and he even converted it into Universal Time for us. The data appeared in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, Vol. 7, November 1846, page 155:

What this means is that even the industry renowned Skyscript site is carrying the wrong astrological chart and data.

The time for the Discovery of Neptune ( which was actually first seen by Galileo on 28 Dec 1612 and noted as a star) should in fact be 23:06:40.0 U.T. on 23 September 1846.

So this shows us that Neptune was discovered at 25 degrees of Aquarius (Celestial longitude) with 29 degrees of Cancer rising. It also shows that today, 12 July, Mars is transiting the position Jupiter occupied on that day in 1846 - and what does the transit of Mars to Jupiter portend? Huge international publicity.Obviously Neptune is being widely publicized today but also it got me to thinking about this...

Neptune has terrestrial correspondence to scandals, rumour, spin, gossip, subterfuge and 'smoke and mirrors' so I see it as a major piece of symbolism and correspondence that the News of the World; a newspiece as infamous for its role in breaking 'scandalous' stories as it now is for using phone hacking (and now for allegations about the spinning of stories - planted by Freud Communications) has just been shut down after 168 years in print.  This is incredibly close to the 165 year cycle of Neptune. The paper and the planet have both come 'full circle'.

Of course it would have been more perfect, and more persuasive for the skeptics, if the newspaper had shut down exactly 164.7 years after opening but if we look back to what was happening that length of time after its first publication date in 1843 it brings us to 2007. Lo and behold we find that Editor, Andy Coulson, resigned in 2007 over allegations of journalists hacking into phones belonging to the Royal Family. It is also the period that encompassed the Max Mosley revelations. So some may say that was the beginning of the end for the paper and right on cue, the seeds of this newspaper's demise took root 164 years, one exact Neptune cycle, after its opening.

Furthermore, when events which we all get to hear about happen out in the world there is usually a confluence of cycles occurring and it is apparent that more than one cycle is prevalent with this News of the World story. Only those with as keen an eye as I have for symbolism will fully appreciate this link but I notice the planet Uranus - currently in Aries- had  stationed to go retrograde as this story exploded AND the Venus/Pluto cycle was at its opposition phase. Uranus in Aries speaks of sudden events (Uranus) involving things associated with personal electronics ( mobile phones) but also the colour red. When the planet is stationed it brings things which correspond to the nature of the planet to the fore big time. Who can have failed to have noticed the red mane of hair tumbling down the back of beleaguered News of the World executive Rebekah Brooks!

Also the masthead for NoTW was red as is the masthead for The Sun Newspaper, another paper in the News International stable ( the UK subsidiary of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation) that is tipped to 'unexpectedly' put out a Sun on Sunday edition to fill the void left by NoTW.  It could well be though that The Sun may also find itself embroiled in this phone hacking scandal.

Meanwhile Venus Pluto cycles are linked with covert behaviour associated with sex and money. This cycle has particular affiliations to underworld organisations such as the Mafia and to prostitution and dealings one would rather keep secret because they are morally dubious. It seems fairly obvious that the Murdoch empire have tried to quickly cut off the blood supply to a story that needs to be suppressed, perhaps because it could have significant ramifications for the entire News Corporation brand as it attempts to take over BSkyB Or maybe, as many suspect, to protect someone in a position of great political power and influence? Are we going to hear of sex and financial scandals at the highest level? You bet we are.

It may take a while for it all to fully surface but with the planet Uranus stationing and retrograding until Dec 10th you can be sure it will be shocking and with Pluto in Capricorn forming ongoing aspects with other planets (watch around the 9th to mid Aug) this one will run and run. And so it should. Those terrier-like journalists who work for these, often salacious, newspapers are also often people with a strong social conscience who believe that double standards should be exposed and that we all have a fundamental right to a free press. We should applaud them. By fair means (as well as foul) they seek to bring us the truth.

It's not looking good though for Rebekah Brooks nee Wade (27 May 1968). She'll be okay long term but she has a chart full of planets in Gemini. Whilst this will undoubtedly make her great at her job, it will also give her the astrological propensity (not certainty) to be a double dealing, clever talking, conniving and devious woman who is economical with the truth. With the approaching Full Moon in her solar 8th house I cannot see how she can survive in her position for much longer unless someone feels it is too dangerous to cut her loose. If there is one chart that shows someone who could turn on her friends and boss this is it!

Meanwhile old Rupert is the embodiment of Neptune as he is a Piscean (11 Mar 1931) the sign ruled by the fishes swimming in two directions! He's undoubtedly got a great head for business and a superlative intuition but he can also wear 'rose coloured glasses'. And as rose is another shade of red, with Uranus in Aries he should be careful that they aren't suddenly ripped from his face because he may not like what he will be forced to see.

In his personal chart Neptune is coming to the opposition of its position at his day of birth. If not handled carefully and honestly Neptune could see the collapse of all he has structured and built up, especially re his BSkyB bid. As one headline put it........ 'Sky falling in on Murdoch Empire.'

I could write about this for ages but suffice to say here, especially to other astrologers - take a look at the progressions and composite chart of Mrs Brooks and Murdoch. It is a fascinating example of synastry and cycles at work!

A 41,000 Year Cycle - Happy Solstice

We are witnessing the annual Summer Solstice here in the northern hemisphere today. This is accompanied by the movement of the Sun into the 90th degree of the 360 degree zodiac - the position we know as 00 Cancer or The Cancer Ingress. At present our planet has reached its maximum axial tilt which makes the Sun appear to have reached its highest declination north i.e., the highest point (latitude) when measured from the Celestial Equator. The current maximum obliquity means that the Sun measures as being +23.26 degrees above the imaginary equator line.You can read about declinations here

Interesting Factoid:
In the article I have linked to above the observant amongst you may note that the Sun's maximum declination is given as being 23.27 but I have said that it has reached its maximum declination at 23.26 degrees. What many people do not realise is that, like everything in the Universe, even the axial tilt of the Earth has a cycle. It is a 41,000 year cycle which takes the tilt (obliquity of the ecliptic) anywhere from 22.1 to 24.5 degrees. In 1900 the accepted axial tilt was 23° 27’ 8.26” but in 2000 the IAU gave it a new figure of 23° 26’ 21.448”

The Sun appears to stand still for three days now; yesterday, today, and tomorrow the 22nd June 2011. After tomorrow the axial tilt will slowly change and the Sun will appear to begin moving slowly down through the declination degrees until it reaches zero at the Equinox. At this point it will move into southern declination and move to -23.26 Here is a Declination Table for the Sun At the Equinox in late September, Spring will begin for our friends 'down under' whilst Autumn will commence for us.

Tip of the Day
Get your kids to place a little marker stick (or tall standing stone!) in the garden aligning with the position where the Sun rises and sets today or tomorrow and let them watch the Sun's travel away and back to these markers throughout the year. Then get them to read about Stonehenge and about the analemma It's good to get kids interested in the Universe around them!

In astrology we look at the two equinoxes and two solstices as being markers of the Cardinal Cross; each of the four junctures marks a transition point in the Earth/Sun cycle and therefore a corresponding transition point in nature and human consciousness. The two equinoxes are about finding balance and harmony, the two solstices are about standing still ( Sol = Sun, Sistere = to stand still) and recognising what changes we need to instigate; where have we gone as far as we can go with something or where do we need to change tack?

In the Wisdom Teachings this Solstice point is known as the Festival of Joy. In the Orphic Mysteries Persephone becomes transfigured as light purifies her mind and fills her blossoming heart*  In the Arthurian Legends, this is the day that the Sun King holds his Court; the Knights (and Maidens) gather in the round (Arthur's Round Table) in a festival of joy and thanksgiving for light and illumination - hence lots of people at festivals around fires or in circles across the globe today and tonight.

It is said that a knowledge of astrology helps us to get into conscious alignment with the timing of God/The Universe and the inherent rhythms of life. So if the rise to maximum declination is the equivalent of an inbreath then now at this Solstice point it is time to pause and then slowly exhale! It's a turning  point and again, symbolically, a switch from the mental machinations of the mind and logic (Gemini)  to a period where over the next 30 days we concentrate on nurturing the emotional/feeling side of our Self as the Sun passes through the water sign of Cancer. By the time we get to the sign of Leo in late July we should have achieved full illumination and brought something to fruition as a result of merging our head and heart during this period.

Many people will be feeling this transition point very keenly today with much in a state of flux, as between yesterday and today Mars, the Moon and the Sun all change signs plus it is interesting too that the fast moving planet Mercury will be at + 24.51 during this Cancer Ingress. This is a position known as 'Out of Bounds' which occurs when a planet goes beyond the boundary of the Sun's maximum declination. It is symbolic of over thinking things or mentally feeling a little fried - or things going haywire. It particularly points to situations involving travel, communications systems and trade going awry. Trading on the stock market may be affected.

Mercury also has correspondence to all ball games: Golf, Tennis, Football etc. It also has correspondence to children, youths and schools. Mercury is the 'winged messenger' so messaging services, phones, computers, social networking sites, media outlets, postal services, airlines and all forms of transport could be at the forefront of the world news now or even for the entire next quarter. Virgo's and Gemini's will feel particularly highly strung this week.

Mercury is the lower octave planet of Uranus, the planet of technology and also the planet particularly associated with flight. Uranus is currently in Aries the sign of cuts, cutting back, cutting down or strikes. I notice that Virgin Airlines is facing a strike threat (and a plane crashed in Russia last night) and there is a burgeoning trend for the deactivation of  Facebook accounts (Uranus in Aries). People are 'cutting and running'. This could simply be due to people feeling increasingly overloaded with information technology, messages, updates etc and realising they need to nurture (Cancer) their one to one relationships and home/family life over their virtual reality pseudo-friends . 

Something I have been writing and warning about for many years now however is the increasing threat of damage via Solar storms to our computers and Satellite systems in 2011/2012/2013. Watch out for this at the forefront of the news this quarter. With Mercury out of bounds many communications/navigation systems may literally get fried!; I just googled it and the first story I see is this! Also watch out for an increase in Cyber attacks paralysing communication systems.

The Sun is in perfect trine to Neptune today.  Neptune has correspondence to water. It therefore made me chuckle when I saw this headline:

The Sun in trine to Neptune signals a time of increased telepathy and interests of a spiritual nature and it's a great day to listen to romantic music but Mars also forms an exact tense alignment to Neptune so watch out for unfocused energy and over emotionalism and avoid alcohol and drugs. Take much of what you read and hear with a pinch of salt too as truth flies out the window and deceit, fiction, fantasy and fears hold sway. Listen out for news about frauds and bankruptcies too. Sadly, more distasteful news about peadophilia and child abuse could also surface while Mars progresses through Gemini this month.  Mars into Gemini also suggests we should all protect our lungs and watch out for Bronchitis, impurities of the blood, Pneumonia and injuries to arms and shouders and airborne toxins/viruses now.

Countries/Cities ruled by Gemini are London, Tripoli, Sardinia, Versailles, Flanders, Lower Egypt
Cordova, Lombardy. Those ruled by Cancer (Sun in Cancer) are USA, New York, Milan, Amsterdam, Manchester, Scotland, Northern and Western Africa, Istanbul.**

Something Fishy - Madeleine McCann and Plymouth

With reference to my previous post about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and in view of the publicity once again being garnered by the case, this is probably a good time to re-show the astrological mapping technique which I revealed in 2007 firmly links Madeleine to Southern Portugal (Praia da Luz) and to the area of Plymouth +/- 30 miles which therefore encompasses Exeter. Having read those lists, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that this Portugal/Plymouth (Exeter) link probably needs pursuing when the Metropolitan Police Force review the case. Not least because whilst reading the book, Madeleine, I noted there is a discrepancy in it regarding the number of times that Gerry McCann had visited Portugal before the fated trip in 2007.

Kate McCann alludes to the fact in her book that she feels very alone and as if no one is paying attention to the minute detail,  like she is, in the search for her daughter. However, I can assure her there are plenty of mothers, fathers and people from all walks of life and professions who have followed every nuance of this over the years in the hope of helping her to locate her little girl and solve this mystery. Not only is there a burning desire to see justice done, but if we don't know what really happened how can anyone prevent it happening again.

So with super sleuth hat on, in Gerry McCann's Witness Statement (see here) taken in the presence of an interpreter, Natália Carvalho Ferreira de Almeida in 2007, it says 'When asked, he said that he had already been to Portugal in 1994. He stayed in an apartment on the outskirts of Albufeira. He has only returned to Portugal on this occasion'

but on page 42 of her book Madeleine, Kate says:

"I'd never been to Portugal, although Gerry had been there on a couple of golfing trips a few years before"

There may be an easy explanation but as one assertion is in a legal statement and the other in a book which is seeking to convey only the facts so that her daughter might be located, I found this a bit strange. Did Gerry have recent connections to Portugal or not? The police will surely have checked with passport records.

Kate McCann was born under the sign of the fishes, Pisces. The sign is also associated with sacrifice and rose coloured glasses. This is also the sign which exists on the Chaos/Control Pisces/Virgo spectrum, compounded by the controlling Mars/Saturn conjunction in her natal chart, in Kate this could give rise to extremes of self denial and 'control freakery'. Pisceans are great at empathising and intuiting but not always so good as sorting fact from fiction, although their life path might require them to face that very task.

So if Kate is telling the truth in her book, she may just have got 'confused'. Either that or the more unpalatable option exists that Gerry was not telling the truth to her (and she believed him) and/or he was not telling the truth in his statement. The final possibility is that it was simply a very bad translation error so I am not trying to imply anything here, just noting the discrepancies. I'm also not implying that Gerry McCann took his own daughter but the astrology does show that there may be something he's involved with or has been involved with which made his daughter a target and it's surely worth ruling out.

What is the extent of these connections back to England and how could it have impacted the choice to holiday in this resort in 2007?

One other discrepancy I noticed, having previously read all of the witness statements, is that Kate McCann says that when she went into the apartment to do her check (where she discovered Madeleine missing) she glanced over to Madeleine's bed and at first couldn't make out in the dark if she was there or not and didn't want to put the light on, but in Matthew Oldfield's statement he said it had been light enough at the previous check to see the twins breathing in their cots without even getting as far as the bedroom door. Both of these statements can't be right; it has to be extremely light to see a baby (babies) chest rising and falling as they breathe.

Matthew Oldfield's statement, verbatim, says: "So I approached the room but I didn't actually go in because you could see the twins in the cots and one of the, you could see the twins in the cots because they're in with, sort of the cots were in the middle of the room with sort of a gap of about sort of maybe a foot between the two, the cots had sort of got that fabric end and sort of a mesh side, so you could see the sides and you could see them, erm, see them breathing and there were two there and it was all completely quiet. And the other things you could see in the room, there was a, there was another bed at the back underneath the window at the far side and you could see the end of the bed, another bed here".

The statements say that Matthew had earlier listened in on Madeleine and the twins by standing close to the shutters but upon returning to the table he says that he thought it was a bit odd when Gerry insisted on going again to check - despite the fact that there was an obviously more relaxed attitude about who checked who's kids on that particular night.

He says: 
"So, erm, back to the table, erm, we have, oh, back to the table, Gerry got up to go and, to go and check on his kids, I mean, and I'd come back and said, you know, I didn't hear any noise when I listened outside your room, so I thought it was a little bit odd that, you know, not kind of a wounded pride that he sort of didn't trust me, but, erm, I just thought, oh, you know, I've just checked you don't really need to check and sort of, you know, sort of go back, but, erm, he sort of got up and went back to check on, erm, on his kids"

and in the interview

4078 "Okay. So Gerry has gone off almost straight away after you got back?"
Reply "Yeah".
4078" And then Jane followed him?"

How annoyed was Matthew Oldfield by this? What did make Gerry go back?

Some of the more obvious questions don't even seem to have been raised or answered in Kate McCann's book. Who for example, except the cleaners, tradespeople who had visited the apartment and the friends in the group would have known that  children were sleeping in that room and therefore that particular shutter was the one to aim for if, as Kate informs us, Mark Warner had originally put the cots in the other bedroom. (See p45). Which in turn raises the question, who could have had a key to the apartment?

Did friends of the apartment owner** Ruth McCann (no relation) and previous guests of theirs at that apartment still have keys?? Had the apartment ever been on the market. Did an Estate Agent ever have a key to it? Perhaps the shutter was raised - as Kate McCann says it was - to ensure no-one was outside the front door (See p46) when they left via the door or to ventilate the room of the odour of something and not open for someone to climb through. Who had the key to the apartment in their possession that night? If an intruder entered by the open patio door they surely wouldn't need a key to exit by the front door anyway and finally I have to ask this one although I have never been able to bring myself to suspect the involvement of Mrs McCann; why did she not immediately start calling, if not screaming Madeleine's name out when she discovered her missing?

Although the Tapas bar was in almost full view of the apartment's balcony Kate McCann didn't scream across from there and stay to protect her remaining children from harm but ran all the way down the path to the entrance from the street before saying words to the effect of 'She has gone' - this is not conjecture, all the witness statements confirm this. Why would someone who by her own admission many times in the book is almost paranoid about her children's safety, health and wellbeing do that?

Venus was coming into alignment with Pluto that night, Venus rules Taureans and Pluto Scorpio's. What people born under the birthsign of Scorpio was Madeleine (Venus) connected with on that holiday - especially those with connections to Plymouth? Or does Pluto describe an obsessive person and not a Scorpio? The aspect for Venus and Pluto is one I have written about on many occasions, it's not only connected with hidden financial matters but also hidden passions and the 'if I can't have you nobody else will' type jealous (and often obsessive and revengeful) passion or the 'that will teach you' type retribution. Was everybody in that group faithful to each other? Was there some seething hidden resentment occurring somewhere or money owed? By taking Madeleine one thing was for sure, both parents would openly suffer, no one's life would remain the same and the group would be bonded together for life.

None of the questions asked so far have unearthed a motive for this crime so surely it is time to start thinking out of the box?

The coming solar eclipse at 11 Gemini, falls on Gerry McCann's Venus and Sun and the Full Moon tomorrow (17 May) is in Scorpio.  Mercury, Venus and eventually Jupiter are all heading for Madeleine's sign of Taurus. I think and hope fresh information should be making its way to the surface as I write....

Thanks for reading my previous post on the Royals. With regard to my last post I would just like to point out that in the second half I wasn't making predictions per se - I was simply pointing out what the correspondences were for the alignments of that day. Some clever spark commented  that it was hardly difficult to suggest that at a wedding there would be lots of amazing hats and headgear! The point is though that the correspondence of Mars and Jupiter in Aries means in astrological parlance that a great deal more attention than usual (Mars) would  be focused on the heads and hats (Aries). It surely was - did you see what Princess Beatrice was wearing! I can't be too rude as Philip Treacy is part of my ex husbands family - oh okay then; it looked like a pair of antlers!

There was indeed a surfeit of the colour red (Aries) and the television commentators remarked on more than one occasion about the 'sea of red marching down the roads of London' - referring to the Soldiers' uniforms. Meanwhile the groom wore a lovely shade of red - at one point on his gently blushing face too! Maybe the burnt mahogany colour of Kate's new low lights and her gorgeous sister's tan also fell somewhere within the red spectrum?

There was also one runaway horse who bolted: very Mars (agitation) of Jupiter (Horse) of Aries (Soldier). Re the bloodshed etc, well nothing major happened thank goodness but there was a foiled stunt which interestingly would have cut off the fake head of Uncle Andrew (I mentioned stunts and uncles) and undoubtedly there would have been lots of vials of fake blood. The stunt involved a guillotine; which is a sharp blade - very Aries (all this will only make sense if you read my last blog post). When the Moon met Uranus it was a first time for 2 kisses on the balcony and in the same period William drove his new bride out of the Palace in his Father's open top Aston Martin. Quelle surprise and another first!

I was clock watching and William walked across the threshold of Buckingham Palace (not the Abbey) at 12.27pm so exactly the time that Jupiter moved (see last post) and I see this as highly symbolic of him becoming King.

The highlight for all astrological Royal watchers however had to be the way in which the Void Moon played out. Okay William was a minute or two behind schedule in leaving Clarence House for the Abbey but it all went more or less to plan, but I wonder at what point they decided to postpone their honeymoon? Certainly the honeymoon was widely anticipated and it was effectively a-voided. At least for a while. Interesting. I wondered in a tweet (@KathrynCassidy) if Catherine is and was on the day already in the very, very early stages of pregnancy? She certainly seems to already have a slightly fuller, but still beautiful, face this week. Children will be central to this very lunar (mothering) couple's life. Maybe postponing the honeymoon was simply to avoid the press frenzy and nothing to do with babies - we'll see in about 2-3 months.

Here then to finish up our overview is one of the latest pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge doing another 'first' and pushing a supermarket trolley when she should be on her honeymoon. Domestic Goddess or what!

Unfortunately as Royal Historian David Starkey pointed out, this appellation connected to the University town was one that Prince Edward had refused for himself and his new bride Sophie some years ago; mainly because of the last three Royals who took the Dukedom of Cambridge they all died young.  That said the last woman to be called the Duchess of Cambridge lived to be 91, so here's wishing the new bride and her husband a chance to break a pattern and all good luck to them for a long and healthy life together.

I made mention of the  names Catherine, Katherine, Kathryn etc last week. now another 'persecuted' Kate is about to hit the headlines again. So, in allegiance to my namesake I'm calling all cycle watchers and astrologers (and asking those who just want to get all sensationalist or garner more hits or readers for their own glory to take a back seat please). A little girl is still missing, presumed dead, and her abductor could still be brought to justice. Later this week Kate McCann will publish her book about Madeleine's disappearance. It is sure to provide some fascinating new detail and respark furious divisions online and off over 'who is culpable'

Newspapers are running previews tomorrow (Sunday). I am not sure what 'data' Kate McCann will reveal in her book but now, armed with her 'from the horses mouth' account of what happened that day in 2007 and not from the pens of third parties, reporters or bloggers, I think it is time for all astrologers to revisit this tragedy and pool their expertise and try and help establish what may have happened. Astrology can give clues - but never certainties- as to who is the most likely to be involved according to the astrological signatures (NOT our own bias). I call on you to work diligently and patiently with the data and the witness statements and see if we can't help shed another angle on this mystery. If you have nowhere to send or discuss your findings you can send them to me and I will monitor the general consensus using your astrological significators (no wild conjecture) and look for those which have not been covered before. I'm not interested in finger pointing just sound astrological analysis.

Kate McCann may mention her own birthtime in the book (ideally astrologers need birthtimes) but I won't divulge it as she is alive and it is her data and her privacy involved but four years on, revealing Madeleine's could just help slot that piece of the jigsaw puzzle into place and help her family find the abductor. Can I just politely remind the newer astrologers that a difficult signature in a birthchart can manifest itself very differently according to the level of evolvement of the owner and the life lessons they need to go through. A Mars/Pluto signature for example can be brutal in one set of hands but can also be someone who uses knives (Mars) to transform (Pluto) a person or save their lives - such as a Surgeon or Doctor would do. We have to be very careful not to attribute things to people when we don't know them based on a few aspects in the chart and look at the whole picture instead. Even then we can never say anything for sure, only offer an opinion.

If however a person's chart makes direct relationships (synastry) to that of a timed chart - ESPECIALLY to the ASC/DESC Axis it should be carefully noted as the Asc is symbolically the physicality of the person (and is connected with place and time); the descendant is an open opponent or 'enemy'. The 12th house is the hidden enemy. Do not fail to look at midpoints either.

Lifting the Veil on the Royal Wedding - nothing is ever as it seems!

So 'the wedding' is looming and what better weekend for a Knight of the Garter to wed but the closest date to the Festival of Unification (also known as Beltane). In the context of the Mystery School initiation path from Neophyte to Enthronement (i.e.Full illumination) this stage is the 'quickening' where William now truly begins his service to mankind. He becomes married - not just to Kate - but he unites the love in his heart with his burgeoning spiritual awareness and sets forth on a purposeful mission to give and share that love with all. In return he finds joy in service and advances his own journey.

If you thought they just picked the date at random think again. This is the man who will be King. He is, in Mystery school terminology, the Christ Child. His role was literally pre ordained. That he chose to wait until his Saturn return to marry and that it had to be between St George's Day (23 April - where the Knight metaphorically slays the dragon of ignorance and alerts people to the truth of existence) and this date (Beltane is the eve of 30 April /1 May) was a 'given' to the inner sanctum of wise men who advise him.

If you are still not sure this date was handpicked according to the ancient lore and rite of the mystic teachings, then maybe this will convince you. The most commonly accepted astrological chart for England used from before the Order of the Garter was officially established (but the garter was already a part of the Secret Doctrine even if the ceremony was not) is the date of 25 December 1066. This is the date for the Coronation of William! Where did this Coronation of King William (known as William the Conqueror) take place... Westminster Abbey.

Where did William and Kate choose to be married despite it being a 'surprising' choice due to it being too small - the abbey. What sign and degree was rising at the time of William's coronation in 1066 in London? 21.57 Aries. Where will the planet of Faith and Kings be at 11am on 29th April 2011 ...at 21.56 Aries. In other words the two (this marriage ceremony and the 'elevation' of William to the throne)  unite in time and space.

Furthermore Mars will precisely conjoin with Jupiter at this 21 Aries degree only on this day. Symbolically Mars  is defender and Jupiter is Faith.  One day, according to an already established timetable, Prince William will be crowned King William in this Abbey and become Defender of (the) Faith. The Sovereign holds the title 'Defender of the Faith' and Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

At around 12.15pm and certainly by 12.35 (12.27pm to be precise) Jupiter will move to 21.57 Aries crossing over the Ascendant which is the equivalent of a threshold and the now 'spiritually united' King-in-waiting will emerge into public view truly 'married' to his destiny.

What of Catherine. Was she handpicked? Not knowingly, but spiritually they were pulled (gravitated) together just as we are all pulled towards our karmic destiny. More on Catherine another time but suffice to say here that I have yet to meet a Catherine, Katherine, Kathryn or any derivative of the name who has not felt an air of persecution entering their lives at some point on their life path. Names have meaning. This Catherine will certainly feel 'persecuted' by some, not for her beliefs but by the snobbery of those who consider her not high-born enough or worthy of such a position. In the eyes of that Higher Power which perfectly orders everything in this Universe however, you can be sure she is exactly where she is meant to be - for better or for worse!

With a number of planets in Aries and with Mars in Aries as the final dispositor of all the planets with the exception of Neptune in its own sign, this is a military day inside and outside the Abbey and Palace; but expect the following:

Lots of people wearing red or shades of it
Lots of people 'seeing red' and some angry scenes
Blushing
A rush at some point (Aries is about speed even accidents and bloodshed)
A few risque comments and lots of 'horseplay'
Lots of OTT behaviour (especially later on with some guests) but also with Police
A few feisty horses (Mars/Jupiter) - and at least one will bolt
A huge Military presence (Mars/Jupiter)
Amazing hats and headgear
A huge amount of pushing and shoving
Lots of guests trying to muscle in and in a state of 'look at me, me, me' - forgetting it is someone else's day!
Lot of noise (that's a given but more than normal - this could be noisy protests)
Let's hope the only explosions come from the gun salute and no one elses gun (guns and shots to the head are represented by Mars in Aries).
A few 'stunts'.
Plus until after the wedding the Moon will be in Pisces, this denotes a public in a state of romantic reverie but can also denote chaos in crowds and insecure boundaries. The Moon meets Uranus later in the day, so some shocks and surprises are to be expected.but this will be a wedding of 'Firsts' - the first commoner to potentially become Consort, the first time a huge Royal wedding will be followed on Twitter and the Internet etc etc. Watch for these 'firsts' being mentioned on the news.

Finally watch out too for the 'Uncle' coverage. Uncles are ruled by Jupiter so Kate's Uncle, and Charles Spencer, Andrew and Edward will all be making headlines (as seen by the Mars/Jupiter conjunction on the day).

Enjoy the spectacle. No one does pomp and ceremony like the British but do bear in mind that on this occasion you are watching more than just a man and woman getting betrothed to each other. You are witnessing a step along the Path of Discipleship and a monumental event in the history of this country.

By the way, much has been said about the fact that the couple will take their vows under a Void of Course Moon which usually means nothing will come of it - but it can also mean that normal life is suspended for a while. You often see a VOC Moon when big parties take place. Yes people will forget things, a few will be late and it may not go like clockwork etc but the marriage vows, once taken, are final. It will all be very, very emotional too.  Only the most hard bitten cynic is likely to remain unmoved in their heart.

P for Pluto and Perils of Plutonium!

I am sure most of you who frequent my blogs on a regular basis (thank you) know by now that the big gap between my last posting and this one is due to the fact that a) the last post proved to be so prescient - it came before the Tsunami and nuclear events etc - that I wanted to keep it up to show the efficacy of astrology and metaphysics and b) because my attention was redirected to a special pop-up page to cover the Tsunami and Mega SuperMoon period. I have been covering news of the upsurge in Nuclear events in this period via my Twitter link too. It is simply amazing when you take the time to look, just how many problems there are with nuclear reactors across the globe each month. The people who put up Fukushima thought they had made allowances for every eventuality - they were proved wrong. This week a series of unprecedented weather events, specifically tornadoes caused the Surry Nuclear Facility in Virginia to lose power. This just goes to show how man will never be able to outwit nature and just how dangerous it is to build these extinction level event generators that we call Nuclear Plants!

Surf's Up - Trouble in the Oceans Above and Below

Many mystics have postulated that we reside in an invisible sea known as the Aethers. Today someone sent me a picture of a wave crashing to the shore in Hawaii, as soon as I saw it I recollected having seen a very similar picture of the Eagle Nebula in Space. Take a look. Perhaps this is more proof of the 'As above, So below' phenomenon. Does the 'sea of Space' act like our oceans?

The picture on top is one of the brilliant pictures taken by Clark Little of the ocean surf. The other is taken by the Hubble Space Telescope and is of, what we might term, the interstellar surf!

Coincidentally (?) I had just been reading an article entitled: NOAA Studies Atmospheric ‘Rivers’ Using Unmanned Aircraft

There's certainly a wave, if not a tsunami of trouble rolling through the Middle East these past weeks and as Neptune, the planet of waves and ruler of Pisces, prepares to move into its own sign in early April we are being inundated with stories of plasma waves being hurtled into Space from the Sun. So worrying is this increase in Spaceweather storms that news stories abound about the possibility of a 'Global Katrina' storm emanating from the Sun and frying our communication systems. Jane Lubchenco, head of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) went so far as to say:

"This is not a matter of if, it is simply a matter of when and how big."

Meanwhile down here (and the two are surely connected) Earth weather continues to astonish. The pictures and extent of the liquefaction as a result of the New Zealand earthquake almost defies belief.

Then there was this story, which coins a word I have never heard of before and I doubt many others have either - 'Thundersnow'. A February 24th report from NASA Science News tells how a freakish thundersnow, a 50-mile long lightning bolt, and almost a dozen gravity waves hit Huntsville, Alabama,

Six Planets in Aries
The sign of Aries certainly is related to attacks and therefore it is with more than a little trepidation that we cycle watchers are anticipating the build up of 6 planets in Aries at the end of March beginning of April and this aforementioned shift of Neptune. Neptune relates to waves and oceans - the physical seas and the sea of ether around us. Where exactly are these 'attacks' likely to arise from? Natural ones from up above in the celestial sphere or man made ones down here - or both?

The next Full Moon chart of 19 March looks a little worrying in this regard. I defy any but a psychic astrologer to say exactly how this is going to manifest but it is noted that in the UK and all locations on similar longitudes the Moon is ascending and the Moon relates to tides, water and liquids. The Moon, Uranus and the nodes are all aligned to the Galactic Centre, so this implies an event of global proportions and also involves the fixed star Scheat, which ... well, it's not got a good reputation.

"it  (Scheat) was regarded as an extremely dangerous star, from which poured forth with all kinds of disaster and misfortune associated with water. Catastrophies, floods, shipwreck, mining accidents, airplane accidents, and suicide attempts have been recorded as the effects of this star by Ebertin and Hoffman, whilst Robson acknowledges it as a star of extreme misfortune".- Skyscript

If that chart looks problematic though it has nothing on the 6 planet in Aries New Moon of 3 April. The Ascendant/Descendant axis is also connected to the GC and square to malefic Scheat. The gestalt of this chart for Washington is rather like an umbrella - the handle being Saturn. Saturn represents the authorities and is situated in the house associated with the theatre of war. In the sign of Libra this means some pretty full on diplomatic (Libra) sanctions (Saturn) are a huge possibility and this is already coming to pass as I write. Is 'Saturn' strong enough to support all this stress that is raining down upon it? Well luckily Saturn is strong in Libra so the authorities have the law on their side but the opposition and aggression towards the 'establishment' is intense and striking a balance to please everyone may prove almost impossible. As we are also in the 180 degree phase of the Jupiter/Saturn cycle, assassinations are a strong possibility.

That said, it should always be noted that due to the Law of Polarity there is always a positive manifestation possible in every situation. The chart for the 3 April New Moon could be the one that leads to a breakthrough (note the ACG Geodetic chart has the New moon running through Tripoli). It could also denote the inception
(also note this is the name of an Oscar winning film and corresponds to Aries) of new conditions and as the New Moon occurs on the same day as a Mars/Uranus conjunction perhaps the inception of a new regime. With Neptune changing signs for the first time since 1998 on the very same day, it is however 50/50 as to whether this date (+/- a few days) will herald a new initiative and new start (Aries) or attacks and acts of aggression (Aries) which will spark something less desirable like full on war.

Neptune correlates strongly to gas and oil but also as it is a higher octave of Venus, it relates to money/currency and to collapse and mergers. It is linked to anything which spreads (diseases) and unfortunately this links it to genocide, nuclear leaks or weapons and explosions. It is also strongly linked to depressions. Depressions of the economy, the mind or in the atmosphere. Neptune retrogrades out of Pisces later in 2011 but then returns in early 2012 and stays in Pisces right through until 2025.


If we look back at what happened when Neptune last changed signs we see that it was at the time of the Iraq disarmament crisis. It was the time when Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías was elected President of Venezuela, there was a massacre in Algeria, Bill Clinton was impeached, Deutsche Bank merged with Banker's Trust and Exxon with Mobil to create Exxon-Mobil and America Online merged with Netscape and our connectivity via the Internet really started to flourish. Just prior to the change John Glenn returned to earth aboard SpaceShuttle Discovery.

What changed for you in late 1998?

When Neptune changes signs it will make an harmonic connection to these people, places, events and issues,  so expect so see news of them surface again from March in some shape or form. My guess is that we will see more financial collapses as well as regime changes and as Pluto sits in square to Neptune in  the chart of the UN, and on the progressed Sun of founding of the UN, for many months, what we are headed for is not pretty, but ultimately it is reorganising the world and people's understanding of the value of love, life and unity into a better shape.

If we are to know the value of anything we first have to know what the loss of it - or potential loss -feels like.

CHI-RHO, CAIRO, CHIRON

The coincidence of the uprising in Egypt happening just as Chiron was changing signs in the sky AND as Jupiter had just crossed into the sign of Aries has been piquing my interest. In ancient astrological texts the Prime Meridian, which divided the world into East and West hemispheres, was set as passing through the longitude of  the Great Pyramid. What this means is that 0 Aries was pinned to that longitude and not to Greenwich where it 'ended up' in 1884. If we use Cairo (the pyramids) as the main meridian from which we divide the globe up into celestial and terrestrial longitudes starting at 0 Aries, then Jupiter has just crossed into the region having already come from Tunisia and is now heading towards Jordan, Israel, Syria, Saudi and all points East. From March onwards Uranus, the great liberator will follow as it too moves to 0 Aries.

This transit and the uprising in Egypt is all too much of a coincidence for skywatchers to ignore because 'what is above is like what is below and what is within is like what is without' so we must consider that the ancient pinning of the Prime Meridian has more celestial significance and physical significance than many hitherto realised. Where else do we have 2 hemispheres. In the brain. As within, so without*

Still  on the same subject, but major coincidence number two, is that I have always understood the Chiron glyph to be closely related to the subject of Christ Consciousness - i.e. enlightenment. This week, just as it was moving into the sign most associated with Christianity  - Pisces, the fishes - for the first time since 1961, I was inclined (the stars incline they do not compel) to make my first video in about two years. The video is about... drum roll... enlightenment. Furthermore I originally posted it up for private viewing and someone pointed out to me it went up exactly as Chiron moved to Pisces. Just coincidence?

The name Cairo is officially said to be Al-Qahira or Masr but the occulted (occulted means hidden from view) reason for its name is thought to derive from the words CHI-RHO which is the Greek spelling of the word Christ. In FreeMasonry the Hiramic legend was originally the CHIramic legend as it is really about Christ - or Chris consciousness. Anyway I digress, you can read about this christogram here.

 

Update: Is it just a coincidence that since writing this an earthquake hit a city called CHRIST-CHURCH and toppled the spire of a cathedral? It is not a coincidence from a metaphysical point of view

If you look at the pictures from Zane Stein's great site on the subject ( he's an expert on Chiron)  it shows one of the two original glyph designs. We all know the symbol as a key but it was formed from the cross (and drawn to divine proportions)

 

So, there I was pondering all this and I saw a list which You Tube video's automatically generate to 'match' the keywords of the one I posted. One caught my eye called Revealed - The Secret of Christianity and was put up in 2007. I watched it only to synchronistically discover the video maker had put together a whole section about (some of) the significance of the Chi- Rho. The rest of the video is worth watching but it is information which, whilst accurate, is not the whole story about the Cross and the Sun but my website will soon have that 'full story' so keep an eye out for that*.

In conclusion then, Jupiter and Uranus could be said to be moving into the land of Cairo or Chiron! I will be watching the progress of Jupiter, a planet which brings freedom and release and Uranus - revolutions - over the Middle East with great interest. I see its passage back to this location as a time of teachings (Chiron is associated with Teachers, Gurus and Heirophants) and awakening to the real truth about Egypt and the Holy Land. We are approaching a time of awakening (Uranus) about the truth of organised religion and as such we can expect to see many Catholics being wounded (wounds are a keyword for Chiron) by the the burgeoning revelations about the reality of the Christ story and the history of corruption of power in the Papacy. I would say Chiron's passage through Pisces means the Vatican and spiritual truths will be very much in the news in 2011/2012 and beyond right through to 2019

This symbol is steeped in much hidden esoteric wisdom via the proportions, the colours, the numbers in the emblem that I will also discuss shortly.

By the way, the actress Elizabeth Taylor, a Piscean, was admitted to hospital with heart problems just as Chiron moved to her sign this week.  Chiron is associated with the heart - and ultimately all Christ consciousness is about the heart.

EGYPT - and unfulfilled dreams

Like I said in my New Year newsletter, this is set to be a Revolutionary New Year. Revolutions don't just appear from nowhere. They don't spring up because a planet which correlates to revolutions (Uranus) has moved to aspect the Sun of the establishment of a regime or a Republic (Modern Egypt has a 'birth chart' of 18 June 1952 11.30pm Cairo - see above) They happen because forces have been building up which can no longer be contained and the planets act as heavenly markers that symbolically mirror what is happening down here on Earth. In the case of Egypt the support or foundations of the formation of it as a Republic were not strong enough to support the edifice that began rising from that moment in 1953. Collapse was almost inevitable (Saturn/Neptune).

As one commentator said' When you have a populace of educated professionals with unfulfilled dreams (Neptune)..... well this is what was actually said: "for millions who have concluded that their dreams for a better life would expire unfulfilled, nothing could be worse than the present". It's a great article so try and give it a read.

All the protesters want to see is change. With change there is hope of fulfillment. The time markers (the astrology) indicate that a major restructuring would have taken place around now anyway whether Mubarak was still in power or not. Exactly how things come about is always down to choice. The fact that this moved to be a violent revolution comes only from the reaction of the Government in not adapting to the needs of the people along the way and not giving them the freedom to be properly heard..

Egyptians want the capitulation of President Mubarak but from the metaphysical point of view he came here as a stubborn Taurean (4 May 1928), with a life lesson to learn about building something but also about accepting change as a natural part of life and not pinning ones self worth to what one has established. As a result he will have attracted people to his side who resonate to Taurean qualities and his personal ethos. The positive manifestation of a Taurean influence is stability and sound economic decisions, the negative is intransigence and being 'tight' with money whilst seeking to accrue it for oneself. When the ego is given free rein in anyone the megalomaniac despot can emerge and the mere thought of letting go of what one has built up becomes akin to physical death. For the Taurean ego the screaming in the head is probably heard as something like this: 'Without my 'power' who am I?' (Scorpio polarity) 'If what I have established now falls, what worth do I have?'(financial and self worth,Taurus)

When reaching such a juncture the time of year you are born will have an effect on how you respond when faced with crisis. In the case of an unevolved Taurean whose ego is holding sway, the natural propensity will always be to dig in their heels and use sheer force of will until it is clear that there is no option. Even then though the fear of loss can give rise to terrible rage and we see the 'Bull in the china shop' syndrome where there is a disproportionate reaction and a lot of residual damage. The US peacemakers should perhaps fear this above all.

Mubarak may find a way to hang on in but if this happens it will only be because it is fulfilling a wider agenda for everyone - after all who will replace him? How it all ends eventually is down to his personal choice. Will ego triumph over spirit or will wisdom prevail? Can he reach agreement? Venus (agreement) moves across a solar angle of the Republic chart as soon as tomorrow and in the chart of the day Mubarak assumed the Presidency (14 Oct 1981) the planet that shows endings is not completing its transit just yet, so let's see*. Proper change will come naturally to Egypt when Saturn once again moves forward from 17 degrees and heads to 20-22 Libra. This will be in September/October 2011. Before then though the transit of Uranus alerts us to a continuing struggle for freedom (Aries) and fairness/equality (Libra) so don't expect it all to just go away.

* Update. Mubarak did indeed come to an agreement, as Venus moved he agreed not to stand in next election but this will keep him in until the Saturn return in September. 'The people' however are not happy and want his immediate removal.

Ultimately however one man cannot be held responsible for an uprising. He is a figurehead and at some level all this is much larger than one person or one country; it is part of the unfolding wave travelling across the Globe in which nature as an energy  is moving through the collective and seeking to restore order. Where excess or restriction have got out of balance, the scales will eventually try and right themselves to a point of equilibrium. There may be some violent, even terrifying swells as balance seeks to establish itself. Only resistance or forcing things to move at an unnatural pace (or to a nefarious or self serving agenda) can artificially prolong the process.

In the end though everything is unfolding exactly as it should. Getting to the point of recognising this truth is the path of the Soul.
